Sarah Bagshaw is a surface pattern designer/educator based in Birmingham, UK.
She uses a variety of handmade processes, such as drawing, painting, printmaking and collage before taking her work onto the computer and manipulating digitally. The digital aspect is as experimental as the handmade methods used and the work evolves by playing with layers resulting in bold and colourful designs.
Sarah has a BA(Hons) in Fine Art (painting) from Falmouth College of Art, an MA in Surface Pattern Design from Birmingham City University and has also worked as an art and design lecturer for many years.
As a practising Artist Teacher, Sarah continues to teach and run workshops in numerous formal and non-formal settings across all ages and abilities.
